The Q&A Archives: Fruit Production

Question: We just planted 2 blueberry bushes: Southmoon & Sunshine Blue. They were each 2-gallon size.
Will they produce blueberries next year?
We're in Zone 9.

Answer: Blueberry plants begin bearing when they are 2-3 years of age (2-3' tall). I suspect your 2-gallon sized plants will be mature enough to produce berries next year. Enjoy the harvest!
