| Your golden cypress needs moist, well draining soil and lots of sunshine. There's nothing special you need to do during the winter months other than to make sure it gets watered as long as the ground is not frozen. Once the ground freezes, the tree will not grow and will not require regular watering. In the springtime, resume regular watering and feed lightly to encourage new growth.
