Can Salvia m. 'Hot Lips' do well with no irrigation in Suisun, Sunset zone 14. I am working on a roadway project that will not utilize irrigation. It is to be truck watered during establishment. Additinally is there any fire resistance with this plant.

If not, can you recomend any Salvias that might work, esp. 3'+

'Hot Lips' Salvia is drought tolerant once established, but it may require some water during the growing season. As with most salvias, natural rainfall is generally adequate. It is on the recommended list of fire resistant plants. Best wishes with your project!
