I have numeours mini roses and I am wondering what is the best way to protect them from the winter cold.Should I prune them in the fall,and how to do it.

Most miniatures have excellent cold tolerance when grown on their own roots (rather than grafted.) Mulch generously over the root area in late fall. If you have had disease problems this season, strip off any remaining foliage during the winter. Pruning would be done in the spring.
