The Q&A Archives: protecting potted roses from frost

Question: i have some roses that i started from cuttings late this summer and seem to have taken off well. they are in indivdual 12

Answer: The roses themselves should be okay this winter, but you'll want to protect the roots from freezing. You can either sink the pots in the ground or pile some insulating material up around the pots to protect the roots from freezing solid this winter.

Best wishes with your new roses!
