| Full fun, fast growing, not over 50', would like to have pretty leaves (if possible green) all year, provide shade too. Was thinking of Lacebark Elm but the one I saw looked very shabby and I definitely don't want one that would lose all its leaves, color maybe, but not all its leaves. Unless, it was so pretty the rest of the year. Soil tends to be acidic, full sun, good drainage. Thank you very much. |
| Deciduous trees show fall color and drop their leaves every fall. Evergreens will hold their foliage year round. Most evergreens are slow growing by nature, so if you need speed above all then you might want to reconsider using a deciduous tree. The lacebark elm is a deciduous tree and as such might not look its best at this time of year. I would suggest you consult with your local professional nurseryman as to which trees might be suited to your specific planting spot and also reach the appropriate size and then work from there as to which tree you like best.
