The Q&A Archives: Garden Whimsey

Question: I have some glorious windchimes that are beginning to show signs of age.
Where do I locate the special twine to re-string them?
I have tried fishing tackle & dental floss with no luck. I miss my bells.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Paul Janas

Answer: In a quick search I found that the string used in wind chimes should be rated at 100 pound strength or better (the heavier the chimes, the heavier duty the line), so you would probably just need to use a stronger fishing line or, once source suggested, archery string. Good luck with your wind chimes!
