| What is the best plant food for my mediterranean fan palms? They are turning slightly light green/yellow, and some of the frond tips are dark brown. Help?!? |
| You should be able to purchase fertilizer formulated for palms at your local garden center (look in the area where orchid and citrus food is stocked). Failing that, use an 8-8-8 formulation of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. Browning tips can indicate overwatering or fertilizer burn, or even chemicals in your water. Try watering with distilled water and flooding the soil, then allowing the top inch to dry out before watering thoroughly again. Hope this helps! |
