Looking for some recommendations for tall shrub to be planted in front of fence that is fairly decorative all year round and preferably flowering. Must grow to at least 6-8 feet and be trimmable to 3-4 feet maximum width. Partial sun and good light all day.

Ceanothus is a good choice for your area. You might also consider Escallonia or viburnum. All will flower nicely in part-sun and all are tolerant of many soil types. Enjoy your garden!
