The Q&A Archives: when do I plant the flowers

Question: We just moved down to Brunswick Ga,and always being a northern,I have no idea when to plant flowers. We were at home Depot and we notice all kinds of annuals for sale,if we put them in the ground now ,example snap dragons ,petunia, dusty miller, and pansys, will they last all through the winter into the summer, with proper love and care. Thankyou very much for your resond,Sharon Buckingham

Answer: Sharon,

Pansies and ornamental kale/cabbage are the hardiest annuals for the winter season. Snap dragons and dusty miller are fairly hardy. Petunias will die at the first freeze.
