There are all kinds of fragrant flowers, both annual and perennial. Try Centaurea (Sweet Sultan), Diathus (pinks or carnations), Freesia, Heliotrope, Viola (Sweet Violet), Nicotiana, Phlox, Lathyrus (Sweet Pea), Polianthes (Tuberrose), or Lonicera (Honeysuckle). For a sweet surprise after the sun goes down, grow Ipomosa alba, the Moonflower.
