The Q&A Archives: Growing Zinnias

Question: I want to grow zinnias but I have no real yard. However, I have a huge deck with full sun facing west. Can I grow zinnias in a container or perhaps a raised bed of some sort on top of my deck?

Answer: Zinnias are garden favorites and adapt readily to containers. Use a commercial potting mix rather than garden soil and place the containers in the sunniest spot available. Water generously all summer, and feed every three weeks with a liquid all-purpose fertilizer for lots of blossoms. Enjoy!
