| Japanese maples can be propagated by cuttings in mid-summer. Take 5-6" growing tips, strip the bottom few leaves and dip the cut end in rooting hormone. Place them in a container of moistened potting soil and set them in a shady spot. Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. They should root in 3-6 weeks. Best wishes with your project! |
