The Q&A Archives: plant growth conditions

Question: Will the pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Sheen' do well in deep shade? We have a 18

Answer: Pittosporum will grow in semi-shade, but not deep shade. You might try growing camellia instead. An 18" deep planter will provide sufficient space for the roots of most perennials and small shrubs.

Best wishes with your garden!
