| Suzanne, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. Knotweed is easy to grow and low care. It prefers slightly moist soil but not soggy or very dry. It takes full sun but may be easiest to care for and also color best in a partial shade location. It is hardy in zones 5 through 8.
