I will be doing table decorations for the Temple University Alumni Association dinner. Since it will be for approximately 100 tables I wanted to use some flowering plants. They need to be in bloom early May and be fire engine red. Can you suggest what and where I could go to talk to a grower?

I'm afraid you're starting a little late if you want something custom grown and blooming by early May. Ideally, seeds for blooming annual plants should be started by now if they're to bloom in time for your event. There may be a grower in your area who has some scarlet salvia or other red flowers who'd be willing to sell you 100 pots - the agricultural extension office (ph# 215/560-4150) can suggest growers to contact. Good Luck!
