The Q&A Archives: Supporting a Hibicus tree

Question: What is the best method of staking - for support - a Hibiscus tree aprox. 3 feet tall?

Answer: Rita,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. I usually use a treated wood stake such as a 1" by 1" stake as they resist rotting in the soil. Some folks use bamboo and just replace it periodically. That is certainly fine too.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
