Hi there,
I would like to plant a climbing iceberg rose on an entry arbor which is about 7.5 ft. tall (full sun am, late afternoon shade). Which clematis varieties would be good pairings with the climbing iceberg, in terms of size, characteristics, etc?

thank you

'Etoile Violette' is a small flowered variety that will complement but not overwhelm your iceberg rose. The flowers are purple with a prominent yellow center. A second suggestion is 'H.F. Young'. This beauty produces cascades of 6-8-inch Wedgwood blue flowers set off by creamy stamens. It is seldom out of bloom during the summer and it never gets leggy or unattractive.

Hope one of these suggestions works in your garden!
