I need help in knowing what perennials and /or annuals would be good for a three or four season garden. What recommendations would you give?? What is the best mulch for a perennial garden? |
There are so many annuals and perennials from which to choose, I'll direct you to the following website hosted by North Carolina State University: http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/... Each of the plants featured on this page include growth habits, growing conditions, and a photo of the flowers. This way you can choose your favorites. I use organic mulch material (peat, bark chips, straw or aged-compost as mulch for my perennial beds. Not only can you dig it into the soil to help enrich the soil, as it breaks down it adds nutrients to the roots of your plants. Best wishes with your landscaping project! |
