my sod was layed out a week ago, we are about to have 20 degree weather in a couple of days. how can i protect it from getting damaged?

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

I suspect your sod came through fine. If in the spring there are any areas that seem winter killed you can plug in some replacement patches. Any area larger than about 1-2 feet wide is worth plugging in to speed a complete cover by mid season.
