The Q&A Archives: is cara cara pink navel orange tree self polanating

Question: hi been looking at all the info you have on this fruit tree, I bought one in the fall here in my area. It is doing well fruit is riping and tast goodd. I will move out to sun deck in spring. But no where can i find info on weather it is self polanting or do I need another tree. Any help would be great Joe

Answer: Most citrus is self pollinating, including this one, so you do not need another variety to go with it. Insects move the pollen, so you may want to help things along by gently dabbing the flowers with a cotton swab or very soft paint brush. Enjoy your tree!
