Foxtail palms are readily adaptable to most soils and growing conditions in your gardening region, and there are no particular diseases or insect pests that bother it, so the problem is probably cultural in nature. Palms need well draining soil and periodic deep soakings. Wilting and browning can be caused by wind burn, underwatering or over-fertilizing. Make sure your plant is getting adequate water (one deep soaking each week) and fertilize only lightly in the spring. In the spring remove any damaged fronds and new fronds should appear in a few weeks.

Best wishes with your landscape!
