when is the best time to plant a dwarf alberta spruce?

Spring and fall are generally the seasons of choice because the cooler temperatures and natural rainfall help the roots establish quickly. However, you can plant trees and shrubs any time the ground is not frozen. Just be sure to water well after planting and if rainfall is sparse, deeply soak the newly planted tree once every 7-10 days.
