A dwarf bougainvillea such as Bougainvillea 'Rosenka' will grow only 1-2' tall and 3-4' wide. It will spread, but only to about 4'. If you have a small sloping area you'd like to cover, a spreading dwarf such as 'Rosenka' will work. If you have a larger area to cover, you might try 'Oo La La', which spreads 6-8' and grows only 1-2' tall.

Best wishes with your groundcover!
