The Q&A Archives: Tree disease ?

Question: My Pink Trumpet Tree (Tabebuia impetigmosa) has developed black spots on the leaves. The tree is about 5 years old. I have never seen black spots on it previously. Spots are about 1/8

Answer: There are several fungal diseases that can cause such spots. You need to pick off the diseased leaves to reduce spreading of the fungus. Then spray the plant with a good fungicide for leaf spots. Some product examples include Zyban, Daconil (chlorothalonil), or anything containing thiophanate methyl. Your County Extension can also offer some control suggestions. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
