Unfortunately hand pulling is the best bet as products that will broadleaf weeds like clover also can damage broadleaf ornamentals like jasmine and trees. You may find that a preemergence weed control product applied in mid September in your area is a option. These products prevent winter weeds like clover from germinating if applied before they sprout and begin to grow. Your Home Depot garden center manager can assist you with finding such a product.
