The Q&A Archives: Planting shrubs

Question: When is the best time to plant crepe myrtles?

Answer: Shirley,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. Now is a great time to plant a crape myrtle. The sooner the better to allow time for the roots to grow before summer heat arrives.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening year in 2007. Please stop in again soon!
