What is a simple way to protect my plants from being affected by the low temperatures of 45-30 degrees F. We had just purchased plants that are stll in their containers and not in the ground.

Thank you, Chris from Cardiff By The Sea, Ca

Since your plants are still in their containers, protecting them from cold weather should be simple; place them overnight in a garage, carport, breezeway, porch or patio where they will be protected from drying winds and cold temperatures. Group them together. As long as they are under cover and out of winds, they should be fine.
