Junipers in general are considered to be disease and insect resistant. They should be planted in full sun and in a well drained soil for best results. Some low growing types to consider might include Juniperus chinensis ?Sargentii?,Juniperus horizontalis `Wiltonii`, or Juniperus conferta `Emerald Sea` for example. YOur local professionally trained nursery staff should be able to make more specific suggestions based on a more detailed understanding of your planting project.
