I just bought a house and I would like to plant some bulbs in the planters outside my front porch for some color. Is it too late to plant them? Do you have any recommendations as to what kind of plants would be okay?

It's a little too late to plant spring-flowering bulbs but you can plant summer flowering or fall flowering bulbs and bring some spring color into the planters by planting cold-tolerant annuals such as pansies, snapdragons or primroses. Summer flowering bulbs are generally available in late winter or early spring so watch the nursery section of your local Home Depot for their arrival. Best wishes with your new landscape!
