Dwarf Pomegranate grows in zones 7-10; unfortunately, you're in zone 6. It would be marginal there although you could plant it in a container and move it to a protected site (close to a building, out of the drying winter winds) and have it survive in your region. Although dwarf pomegranate does produce small fruit, it isn't considered edible. I grow the plant and harvest the fruits for decorations... the fruit looks like a smaller version of a regular pomegranate but it never sweetens up enough to be edible.

Best wishes with your landscape!
