| Charles, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. You can prune desert rose whenever you like. They tend to flower their best in the hot dry time of the year so pruning in spring can allow for growth and setting of bloom buds so as not to reduce their summer bloom potential.
