I have been looking for a souce of Astroemeria bulbs. They had taken over the yard at my last house, but were destroyed before I could dig up a start. Any suggestions as to a source, or even where to look to find a source?

Alstroemeria are generally started from roots. You can find them in one-gallon containers in most nurseries. Undisturbed plantings form clumps and can be divided and replanted in the fall. Check with your local nursery or garden center of large chain-stores this spring - they're sure to have the plants you're looking for.
