I live in eastern Oregon and have frost/freeze late in the year (late May) and 2 or 3 times during the summer. Which strawberry would grow best in my garden?

Shuksan and Tri Star were both developed for great performance in the Pacific Northwest. Benton is another reliable bearer. These cultivars are available from Raintree Nursery, 391 Butts Rd., Morton, WA 98356 (360) 496-6400.

You may have to cover the plants if you get frost in the summertime, to protect the tender flowers and developing berries.
