| Ilex aquifolium "Gold Coast" is a gold variegated male cultivar of Ilex aquifolium or English holly. It would be a pollen source for female English hollies such as "Sparkler". However, it it only considered winter hardy into USDA zone 6, so I do not think English hollies would be suited to your colder climate. Your local professionally trained nursery staff should be able to show you hollies that would do better in your local area. |
