Ideally your lawn care program would be developed based on the type of soil you have, the specific type(s) of lawn grass you are growing and the weather each year. Your local county extension should be able to help you with the necessary soil testing and lawn evaluation needed to develop a custom plan. You might also want to look at the book, Lawncare for Dummies which offers basic step by step practical information. In the meantime, you might find the following helpful as a guide. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.
