I have two North facing low windows in my front planter that I would like to put a nice perenniel shrub that will not grow higher than 2 feet tall. I live in Zone 9. Any suggestions? |
Here are a few suggestions: LITTLE HEATH PIERIS (Pieris japonica 'Little Heath') grows 3-4' but can be pruned to remain smaller. TURNER'S PITT? MOCK ORANGE (Pittosporum tobira 'Turner's Variegated Dwarf'), slow growing with attractive leaves and seasonal color. SIENNA SUNRISE? HEAVENLY BAMBOO (Nandina domestica 'Monfar'), a small plant with green foliage turning red to orange in the winter months. GOLF BALL KOHUHU (Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Golf Ball') which doesn't flower but does remain small and attractive. Hope one of these suggestions is just right for your garden! |
