I would like to sow directly this year Cobaea Scandens, the Cup and Saucer Vine. Right now the temperature is ranging 75F highs and 50F lows. Is this too early to sow direct? Should I wait till it heats up more or start indoors? I really want to sow directly. Thanks.

Abigail,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

By the time you receive this reply it will be plenty warm for those seeds to germinate and grow well. They do best if planted in place as they are not very happy with being transplanted.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening year in 2007. Please stop in again soon!
