Were first time home buyers and were starting from scratch with attempting to grow a lawn. What products would you recommend for the fastest and easiest way to get a beautiful, plush lawn?

There are three very important steps to follow in establishing a new lawn. First, you need to run some basic soil tests to see what types of soil amendments are needed so the grass can establish a healthy root system. This might include fertilizer(s), adding organic matter, adjusting the pH, and so on. Next, you need to select an appropriate type of grass for your yard. Last, you need to follow an ongoing maintenance program suited to the grass type you are growing so you can keep it healthy for the long term. Your local county extension should be able to help you with all three steps. Here is contact information

You may also find their lawn establishment and management guidelines helpful in understanding what is involved.
