The Q&A Archives: information about a Page Orange tree?

Question: Is the fruit for eating or for juice?

Answer: Mary,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

'Page' "orange" is a tantangelo (tangerine X tangelo) hybrid that resembles an orange, despite the fact that it has no orange heritage. It needs a pollinator and good choices for that include Temple "orange", Orlando Tangelo, or Lee "tangerine". It can be squeezed for juice or eaten fresh although its peel and segements do not separate as readily as some citrus does.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening year in 2007. Please stop in again soon!
