The Q&A Archives: Banana Trees

Question: When should Banana Trees be cut back after being out all winter?

Answer: You can cut the old growth down just at ground level and new growth will appear from the roots as soon as the weather warms. In fact, you should be seeing new growth just about now so all you need to do is remove the old tattered growth.
