Do you find that growing strawberries in hanging bags are really sucessful or is it better to grow them in a strawberry pot?

Although the hanging bags are new and interesting, I'd vote for planting strawberries in the ground if possible, or in a strawberry pot. Strawberries produce runners which, if allowed to make contact with the ground, will develop into brand new plants. If you have space in your garden to grow strawberries, they would be a wonderful addition. If you don't have ground space, plant them in strawberry pots. Avoid the bags - the roots overheat and the plants will quickly die in the summer heat.

Best wishes with your strawberry plants!
