The Q&A Archives: Photinia Pests

Question: Worms are eating the leaves on my red robin photonia. What pestcide do I use? These are new plants

Answer: I think the safest, most effective course of action is to use Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis), which is sold under the trade names Thuricide and Dipel. This product targets only caterpillars and doesn't harm other insects in the garden.

Best wishes with your new photinia plants!
