What is the best way to repair lawn that has been destroyed by female dog urine?

The dog urine burns the lawn due to its concentration. The best way to prevent the damage is to water the spot immediately after the dog urinates on it so as to dilute it. Once the damage is done you would either renovate the entire lawn if the damage is widespread, or spot seed the bare patches. To protect the lawn thereafter you may want to train the dog to use a specific area or fence it into a separate run area.
