I purchased 2 bags of lily of the valley bulbs. I am new at gardening and I think I planted the bulb the wrong way. Was I suppose to plant the entire bulb or leave the stringy particles above ground??? There were these claw like roots that I planted in the ground and left the stringy things above.

HELP!!!!!!!!

The claw thing is the crown, roots grow from one side of the crown and the stems grow from the other. Based on your description, I think the string things are the roots. I think you may have planted them upside down. You can replant them, they will probably be just fine. But do it as soon as you can.
