I have a purple violet growing in my yard and have put a weed killer on them and to no avail. They are growing faster than ever. Could you tell me what to get to kill this invasive creature.

Herbicide containing triclopyr will kill violets but it may require several applications to do it. Read the entire label and follow all of the directions before you use it. Keep in mind that violets tend to thrive in areas that are too shady for lawn grass to grow well, so they are outcompeting the lawn.
