I just moved from Riverdale, UT to Blackfoot, ID. Can I transplant my Peony Tree from there to here? When would the best time be? It is about 5 feet tall and 4 feet across.
Thank You!!!

You can grow peony trees in Idaho. The very best time to transplant them is when they are dormant. If you can dig and move them now, you shouldn't lose this year's flower display. If you transplant later in the spring, you will probably lose the current year's flowers, but they should bloom for you next year.

Best wishes with your peonies!
