The Q&A Archives: SPRING BULBS

Question: I did not get my bulbs in the ground last fall can I still plant them and have flowers this year?

Answer: If they are spring-blooming bulbs, they won't perform, although you can put them in the ground, rather than store them longer. If they are summer-bloomers (glads, canna, dahlia), it's a good time to plant and they will bloom.
