| You can safely take your citrus trees outdoors when temperatures remain above 50F day and night. You might be surprized at how quickly they recover once they're outdoors. Indoor temperatures, humidity and light levels are much different and citrus trees can suffer, only to thrive once they're outside again. Make the move gradual, setting them first in a shady location then moving them to sunnier and sunnier sites. You can feed with a half-strength dilution of liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks to encourage healthy new growth. Take the trees back indoors in late summer or early fall, when nighttime temperatures hover around 50F. Best wishes with your trees! |
