I have a brown patch in my lawn that wasn't there last year. it is not a circle but is roughly three feet in diameter.
The patch is located near a planting bed and a cherry tree. I use a lawn service and I have not personally used any chemicals around this area. What can I do to stop it from spreading (assuming it will spread), and what can I do to clean it up? Thank-you.

It's difficult to determine what may have caused the brown area in your lawn without actually seeing it. I'd simply rake out any dead grass and roots and then reseed. It should green up in 7-10 days. Best wishes with your lawn!
